Tween Tech Week is a national adolescent literacy initiative created by the Young Adult Library Services Association (YALSA) with a purpose to encourage teens to be regular readers and library users.
As part of the week celebration, students were asked to share a picture of any pet (live or stuffed) reading anything! Students also had the chance to download various apps to learn technology (as a bingo game) and even use an app to try out "Sphero the robot" on tracks and ramps set up in the library. Students raced for time against others and submitted their best times and scores to compete!
